Scope of delivery:
- Front axle: reinforced springs S477
- Rear axle: reinforced springs S478 (HD) or S479 (SHD)
- Parts certificate; optional: load capacity certificate
- Optional: sticker showing the new maximum authorised mass
Selection of rear axle springs (+300 / +600 kg):
Due to the stiffer rear axle springs, there should be a permanent load on the rear axle caused by a fixed installation (workshop fitting, shelving, motorhome, etc.).
- +300 kg: With HD (heavy-duty) springs, the payload should be at least 300 kg. The resulting permanent unladen weight on the rear axle must be at least 1050 kg!
- +600 kg: For SHD (super heavy-duty) springs, the load should be at least 600 kg. The resulting permanent unladen weight on the rear axle must be at least 1,350 kg!
TÜV approval:
To issue the load increase certificate, we require copies (scans or photos) of the following documents
- Registration certificate Part I (vehicle registration document)or
- Registration certificate Part II (vehicle title) and COC document (EC Declaration of Conformity)
- For motorhomes, we also require the type plate from the base vehicle. This plate is located on the driver’s side door sill (B-pillar)

Once the spring set has been fitted, take the vehicle to an authorised testing organisation (TÜV/Dekra) for inspection. To ensure the inspection process runs smoothly, we recommend that, in addition to the load increase certificate, you also submit a measurement report on the chassis geometry. Once the inspection has been successfully completed, you must have the modification entered in Part I of the registration certificate (vehicle registration document) by the relevant road traffic authority.
Weight increase:
Please refer to the table (in the images) for the actual new permissible gross vehicle weight. The permissible axle loads do not increase.
Delivery time:
The spring kit, including the weight increase certificate, is usually available within two weeks.
Height increase*:
- Front axle: approx. 25 mm
- Rear axle: approx. 15 mm
*This spring set is primarily intended to compensate for a heavy load or to increase the permissible gross vehicle weight, and not to increase ground clearance. This is a ‘side effect’ of the reinforced springs. The above-mentioned lift heights (+25/+15 mm) depend heavily on the factory-fitted suspension springs, as well as the vehicle’s specification and payload. A genuine increase in ground clearance with precise figures can be achieved by fitting our TA-F1-FW lift kit, which raises the vehicle by 30 or 45 mm.
Fitting the spring set in addition to our +30 mm lift kit is a common combination and is technically safe. However, please check with your authorised testing organisation (TÜV/Dekra) before fitting this combination to ensure they approve of this modification. Combining the spring set with our +45 mm lift kit is not permitted.
