From February to April 2024, Spanish influencer Mikel Boisset had the opportunity to test a specially equipped VW T6.1 from Terranger. During this time, he was able to experience the versatility and robustness of our products in the most demanding off-road conditions. Equipped with a variety of Terranger products, the van mastered every challenge it was given.
Central winch: powerhouse for difficult situations
One of the highlights of the equipment was the powerful central winch, which can pull up to 7000 kg of weight. This winch proved to be an indispensable tool for getting the van out of difficult situations, be it mud, sand or rough terrain.
Underrun protection: complete protection from below
The comprehensive underrun protection provided the van with perfect protection against damage caused by rocks, branches and other obstacles. This protection covers the entire underside of the vehicle and ensures that the engine, transmission and other important components are always safe.
Sill protection tubes: Side protection at its best
The robust sill protection tubes on the sides of the van offered additional protection and helped to protect the vehicle from side damage. They proved extremely useful when maneuvering through narrow and rocky passages.
Recovery eyes: Always ready for rescue
With the recovery eyes at the front and rear, the VW T6.1 was always ready to help itself or others out of awkward situations. These eyes made it easy to pull the vehicle out of the mud and offered additional safety during off-road adventures.
Lateral board: Practical holders for tools and accessories
The lateral board allowed the influencer to attach a spade and sandboards - essential tools in case you get stuck. These practical holders ensured that the necessary equipment was always within reach.
Rear carrier: additional storage space and spare wheel holder
The rear carrier not only offered additional storage space, but also a safe place for the spare wheel. This flexibility was particularly valuable on longer trips where additional storage space was needed.
Roof rack and reinforced gas springs: comfort and functionality
The lightweight roof rack offered space for additional equipment, such as a tire. Thanks to the reinforced gas springs for the pop-up roof, the pop-up roof could be easily opened even when the roof rack was loaded. The reinforced gas springs for the tailgate also made it easier to open, even when heavily loaded.
Brackets for additional LED headlights: light in the dark
Last but not least, the brackets that attach the additional LED headlights to the top of the roof provided an extremely high level of light. These headlights proved to be indispensable for night-time driving and always ensured optimal illumination of the terrain.
